Painting

My work reflects a deep fascination with the natural world, where beauty intertwines with hidden danger. Influenced by M.C. Escher and William Morris, I create tessellated compositions that repeat a single shape across the canvas, revealing well-camouflaged animals and insects within the larger pattern. These concealed creatures add an unsettling tension to the work. The process of repeating each element becomes meditative, and as the pattern evolves, the paintings take on a dynamic energy, inviting viewers to engage with the hidden layers and uncover the subtle and seductive surprises within.
