Painting
In my large canvases of animals, I focus on painting with a deep sense of realism and detail, drawing inspiration from earlier masters like Rosa Bonheur and George Stubbs. I approach each subject with reverence and love, capturing not only their natural beauty but also, at times, the humor or horror of their predatory instincts. My work sometimes features these animals as prominent figures in the foreground, set against intricate repeat pattern backgrounds, adding depth, complexity, and irony to the scene. In some pieces, I incorporate literary, mythological, and biblical themes—using references like Zeus or David and Goliath—to further explore the timeless stories that animals can evoke. Through my art, I aim to honor the dignity and spirit of the animal world while engaging with the broader narratives that connect us all.
